SolidWorks, an industry leader in the field of 3D CAD technology, will be holding SolidWorks World 2008 International User Conference & Exposition in San Diego in January 2008. This year’s conference is claiming to be the most expansive yet.
The conference will be held in San Diego from January 20-23, 2008 and will feature keynote speakers Dr. Don Norman and Dr. Robert Ballard. Dr. Norman is a recipient of the Benjamin Franklin Medal from the Franklin Institute; Dr. Ballard is world-renowned for his discoveries of the HMS Titanic and his use of technology in examining sunken ships.
At $995.00 for the entire conference, attendees can expect to choose from over 150 training sessions, a 9,000 square foot showroom for newly developed technologies, where over 200 new products will be displayed, and various general sessions and networking opportunities.
Spokespeople for SolidWorks have claimed that this year’s SolidWorks World 2008 International User Conference & Exposition will the best they have put on since the conference’s inception ten years ago. Getting your pass to the conference before December 14 will earn you a $100.00 discount.
I’ve been to these things before. They’re really good if you’re new to Solidworks. Pretty exciting and informative. Once you become a hardened user like me you kind of lose interest in learning stuff. I’m glad I went to the Vegas one a few years ago, though.
